Hello!
This is LIUBUNTU. I like poetry, wordplays, and puns. Once I hit upon merging my first name with the name of the famous Linux distribution. I fell for the way it looked and sounded, and started using it as an alias before I even knew that Ubuntu is also a philosophical term.

LIUBUNTU is not only a combination of words, but worlds. I obtained a master's degree in the humanities and learnt how to code in JavaScript and Python. I used to work as a cultural events manager, a web developer, and a journalist (for a while). My career paths were colliding and splitting for years before I got brave enough to blend them.
This is what migration, both internal and external, is doing to you. You are missing friends, connections, and landscapes. You are mixing accents, languages, and vocabularies. You are lost. Some parts of your identity are cut and will never recover. It hurts, it scars. But somehow it empowers you as well.
And here I am. A Ukrainian, currently based in Poland. Starting a new blog* in English. My writing won’t always be flawless and accurate. But instead of using AI to correct mistakes, I am using a grammar checker and online dictionaries. This should be enough to write about my projects, thoughts, and plans as a digital creative. Keep in touch with me by subscribing to my blog via email or RSS feed.
*Простір для розділових знаків — my first blog on Bear (in case you speak Ukrainian).
